Kobe Japanese Steak House & Oku’s Sushi Bar Review
If you are into Japanese food and love sushi, Kobe Japanese Steak House and Oku’s Sushi Bar is the place for you! I am a Japanese food addict and like to check out the local restaurants wherever I travel. Kobe’s is an all time favorite of mine. Not only do they offer some of the best food on the island, you also experience the exciting art of Teppanyaki cooking. Knife-wielding chefs prepare delicious steak, seafood, and chicken entrees right at your table. It’s quite a show!
There are generous portions, the seafood is fresh, and the prices are reasonable. They also have an awesome sushi bar, where the staff are masters of the art of sushi. The sushi bar is open until 11:00 pm. I recommend trying the complete dinner special. You can choose Teriyaki or Sukiyaki Steak, Hibachi Steak, a Teriyaki Steak and Chicken Combo, or a Vegetarian Special from their Teppanyaki dinner menu. Dinner specials include a Teppan Shrimp appetizer, Shabu-Shabu Soup, Hibachi Vegetables, Steamed Rice and Hot Tea, all at a very attractive price!
They suggest reservations, so be prepared for a wait if you haven’t called ahead. It gets very busy, particularly on weekends, although you can always take a seat at the bar and be entertained by karaoke and a cold drink! Call for reservations at 808-667-5555, or visit KobeMaui.com for more information.
