Captain Jack’s Island Grill Review

My favorite casual dining place while on Maui was Captain Jack’s Island Grill on the West side. It’s a pirate-themed eatery located across MR_SIDE2_Capt.Jacksfrom the Banyan Tree, above the ABC Store and enjoys a bird’s eye view of Front Street in the heart of Lahaina Town. We relished just sitting there enjoying a hearty breakfast and watching the world go by on Front St.!

Captain Jack’s offers daily breakfast specials so we never ran out of choices and the prices are good! They pride themselves on their Head Chef’s fresh fish lunch and dinner MR_SIDE1_Capt.Jacksspecials too. Our particular favorite was a delicious parmesan macadamia panko crusted Mahi Mahi, served over garlic mashed potatoes or rice, and finished with a Lilikoi beurre blanc (white butter sauce). They also proudly showcase the Best Philly Cheese Steak on Maui, Kracken Calamari served with a spicy tartar sauce for dipping, Lilikoi hand beer battered Captain Jack’s Fish-N-Chips, along with a full array of pupus, sandwiches, fresh Kula greens salads, and lots of evening entrees. Entertainment is available seven nights a week too!

The thing that appealed to us the most was that it is so accessible right there in the hub of things! We could stop off for a bite after enjoying the beach or spending a morning browsing the many awesome shops along Front St. It is also a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner after a day of sightseeing, you can relax, munch on some pupus, chug a nice cold one and watch the sun sink into the ocean! Not too shabby! Check out their menus and more here or call 808-667-0988.
