Maui Tacos Review
I discovered Maui Tacos years ago while vacationing on Maui, and it’s been a regular stop for me ever since. I’m addicted to their Ho’okipa Burritos, but everything I’ve ever had there was great. Their catch phrase is “A vacation you can eat,” and it’s exactly that for me – every time I visit Maui I eat there at least 3 or 4 times, and it brings me back to that Island feel every time. Their concept is really unique – kind of a fusion of Mexican and Aloha, with super-fresh island fish, generous portions – and all the fresh salsas, cilantro, lemons and extras you could ask for on their Salsa Bar. They even bottle their unique salsa recipes for you to buy and take home. They have a really unique corn salsa that I can’t get enough of.
I had friends fly in for a visit the last time I was on Maui, and they we starving by the time we got back to Lahaina, so I took them all to Maui Tacos. Maui can be expensive, so if you are looking for a reasonably-priced place for lunch or dinner, try Maui Tacos – the five of us had a great lunch, everyone was happy with their meal, and it didn’t cost me a fortune! Good food, decent prices and lots of convenient locations to choose from. Definitely order your burrito “wet” with enchilada sauce and cheese on it – it’s the bomb! Maui Tacos gives a bit of Hawaiian flare to their Mexican menu. You can check them out online at MauiTacos.com – they have 5 locations on Maui, so there’s always a great place to eat no matter where your vacation takes you!
