Binky’s Boutique Review
My son recently moved to Maui, and visiting was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for my husband and I. In the melee of packing and hurrying, I forgot my knitting, which is my favorite way to relax in the evenings! What a disaster! I just knew I would have to search for a project to work on when we had settled into Maui. Imagine my delight when I came across Binky’s Boutique right by the Banyan Tree. What a fabulous store! Not only did it have the best selection of colors of yarn, but also offered great quality. It is all hand dyed, and I was able to get different weights and colors of yarn for my new project.
As fantastic as it was to find the knitting gear it didn’t just end there – amazing beads, jewelry and unique pieces all over the shop. Their jewelry in particular is handmade and lovely, and breaks the repetitive cycle of ‘tourist trap jewelry’ that can be prevalent on Maui. The owner of Binky’s, Robin, was there when I went in each time, and not only did she remember me, but also gave me a great deal on some gifts that I purchased to take home. This was the sort of place I was afraid I wouldn’t find while here on Maui – and I’m so grateful to Robin and her passion for the great products and atmosphere (not to mention prices) at Binky’s! Stop by their shop at 626 Front Street, or click on the Facebook link below to learn more!
